The East Java Regional Police arrested three robbers who carried out their actions at the Blitar Santoso Mayor's official residence on December 12, 2022. East Java Police Chief Inspector General Toni Harmanto said the three perpetrators with the initials NT, AJ, and AS were arrested by the police at different locations a few days ago. "Alhamdulillah, we can arrest all the perpetrators of the crime at the official residence of the Mayor of Blitar. Currently, we are still in the process of developing this case because of the five suspects, only three people have been arrested," said Toni when releasing the case at the Police Headquarters, Surabaya, Antara, Thursday, January 12. The Director of General Criminal Investigation at the East Java Police, Kombes Totok Suharyanto, admitted that the arrests of the suspects took a long time, almost one month after the robbery. "This disclosure lasted 24 days because indeed the five perpetrators we were able to identify based on scientific investigation crime were good enough to escape," he said. Totok explained that the perpetrator who was first arrested was NT, who was none other than the mastermind of the robbery. NT was arrested at an inn in Bandung City, West Java, last weekend. The robbery plan began when NT served his sentence at Sragen Prison. At that time, NT invited four other perpetrators to carry out a robbery at the Blitar Mayor's official residence. The NT suspect also bought a black Innova car used to act. "Including preparing a red number plate. Then the person concerned was also seen on CCTV opening the fence and entering for the first time," said Totok. The money obtained from the robbery was around Rp730 million. Then, NT got a share of Rp140 million. After arresting NT, the police continued to develop an investigation and arrested another suspect with the initials AJ (57) at a gas station in Jombang, East Java. "The person concerned was invited to commit the theft with violence by the suspect NT. On CCTV using batik provided by the suspect NT," said Totok. Suspect AJ played a role in waking up officers from the Civil Service Police Unit who were on guard at the security post at the official residence while threatening them, then tying them up. From this action, suspect AJ received a share of Rp. 100 million. The following day, the police arrested a third suspect on behalf of the US or ASN at his sister's boarding house in Medan City, North Sumatra. The US suspect received Rp125 million, a 10 gram necklace, and a 10 gram bracelet. The evidence has been confiscated by the police. "We have confiscated three firearms from NT's brother," he said. For the two suspects who are still at large, Totok said that his party had published a wanted list (DPO) of people on behalf of Oki Supriadi and Medi Afriant, respectively.
