JAKARTA - Arriving at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, Central Jakarta, Papua Governor Lukas Enembe underwent a health check. Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri said Lukas Enembe had been subjected to a medical examination by a Syaraf Specialist and a Heart Doctor regarding the complaints of his history of illness.

"After an examination by a team of doctors at the RSPAD, both through interviews with complaints and medical history, examination of vital and physical signs, as well as laboratory examinations, ECG examinations and ultrasound examinations," Firli told reporters at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, January 10.

"Concluding that the suspect Lukas Enembe needs temporary treatment at the RSPAD for the sake of a follow-up plan," he continued.

Firli explained that the health examination of Lukas Enembe was not different from other suspects. However, this is a form of human rights (HAM), even though it is caught in a criminal case.

"We must also pay attention to and obey all applicable legal and basic provisions in the context of implementing the main tasks of the KPK, one of which is upholding human rights," he said.

When asked about the complaint of illness and treatment for the Papua Governor, Firli admitted that he could not convey further.

"I can't say what the complaint is because of course there is a medical code of ethics," he concluded
