PDIP Criticism Anies Shows Award: Unfortunately It Does Not Feel The Community

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan exhibited three award categories related to digital transformation that has just been won by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government from the 2020 TOP Digital Awards.

The awards include Top Digital Implementation 2020 on Province Government Level Stars 5, Top Digital Transformation Readiness 2020, and Top Leader on Digital Implementation 2020.

"This is the result of the colossal work and collaboration of many parties behind the scenes involved in building Jakarta's digital ecosystem," Anies said on his Instagram account.

The award displayed by Anies was criticized by a member of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD, Gilbert Simanjuntak. Gilbert said, showing off his appreciation shows Anies' selfish attitude seeing the current condition of DKI.

"Congratulations for the achievement of the digital system of the Provincial Government and the Governor. Unfortunately, this achievement is not felt by the public. Showing three achievement plates seems to only show off personal egos when people need leaders in Jakarta today," Gilbert told reporters, Sunday, December 27.

Gilbert said, there is a problem that is more important than showing off the award, namely realizing the campaign promise during Anies's leadership of Jakarta from 2017 to 2022.

"Digital achievement is the side that is less felt by society and is not a campaign promise," he said.

As for the sectors that are needed by the community, according to for example, MSMEs and informal business sectors that have minimal touch. Gilbert said, this business sector does not really need a digital system, but it does need budget policies and programs.

Gilbert views that almost all budget policies and MSME programs in DKI are from the central government through the APBN, with very few coming from the APBD. "It is useless to build a digital system if there is no pro-people policy," he said.

In addition, the stalling of the Rp0 DP house program, the problem of flooding and congestion, the construction of the LRT which is still at a standstill, are problems that Anies must resolve before his term ends.

"The new problem is the absence of a burial ground for the bodies of COVID-19 and it does not require a digital system, but an execution," said Gilbert.

Not only that, Anies must also try to reduce the rate of spread of COVID-19 in DKI. Moreover, there are concerns that cases will spike after Christmas Day and the new year 2021.

"So it is not appropriate to show off as if it has accomplished above the number of victims. It would be better to give a statement about the Covid-19 case that failed to be resolved than to show off something that the people who are lamenting do not feel," he concluded.
