JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI dispatched 5,747 train passengers from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station on Saturday, December 26, or the day after Christmas 2020.

"The passenger volume on December 25 was 9,760 passengers, consisting of 4,857 passengers departing from Pasar Senen Station and 890 from Gambir Station," said Eva Chairunisa, Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, in a statement on Saturday, December 26.

The number of passengers today has decreased from two days ago, where there were 14,211 KAI Daop 1 passengers departing from Jakarta on Thursday, December 24 and 9,827 passengers departing on Friday, December 25.

Meanwhile, the arrival of long-distance train passengers arriving at Pasar Senen and Gambir Stations today was 3,207 passengers.

"A total of 2,266 passengers arrived at Pasar Senen Station and 941 passengers at Gambir Station," he said.

Furthermore, Eva said there were a number of travel conditions using long-distance trains during the Christmas holiday season and the new year 2021. Long-distance train travelers are required to show a certificate of the results of the rapid antigen test stating negative COVID-19, valid no later than 3x24 hours. before the date of departure.

This condition only applies in Java Island. For train trips other than Java Island, travelers are required to show non-reactive results from the rapid antibody test or negative from the PCR swab test, valid no later than 14 days before departure.

Then, all travelers are required to fill out the Electronic Health Alert Card (e-HAC) from the official website of the Ministry of Health. Meanwhile, the requirements for testing for COVID-19 do not apply to children under 12 years of age.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) provides an antigen rapid test service at long-distance train stations at the station for IDR 105,000.

"For passengers who carry out rapid test checks at the station and have positive results, they will be handled specifically by a team of doctors in the isolation area to then be given special directions so that they immediately carry out further examinations at the hospital and coordinate with the local health office," Eva explained.
