Reject The Proposal Of A Job Creation Perppu Debate, Mahfud MD To KSPSI Jumhur: I Propose That Bintang Ali Mochtar Ngabalin

JAKARTA - Minister of Politics, Law and Security (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD is challenged by the debate of the General Chairperson of the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPSI) Jumhur Hidayat. So, what is Mahfud's response?

"Wow, did Jumhurbdia challenge my debate? I don't dare, I'm sorry, I gave up," Mahfud said on his Twitter account, @mohmahfudmd, Sunday, January 8.

Mahfud admitted that he lost first to the debate challenge proposed by Jumhur.

On this occasion, Jumhur invited Mahfud and even the former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) to debate regarding the Government Regulation in Lieu of the Job Creation Law (Perppu) which was issued on December 30, 2022.

"I know him very, very smart. I lost him," said Mahfud.

Mahfud suggested Jumhur that the debate challenge be submitted to the Main Expert of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Ali Mochtar Ngabalin.

"I propose he to challenge Ali Mochtar Ngabalin's debate. Let it be balanced. But I don't know if Ngabalinya wants it or not," he said.

Jumhur, who also serves as the Coordinator of the One Million Labor Action Alliance, recently voiced his rejection of the government's action in issuing Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 2/2022 concerning Job Creation or the Job Creation Perppu.
