West Sulawesi People Asked To Report Violations Of DPD Verification

The people of West Sulawesi (Sulbar) were asked to report any violations in the administrative verification of candidates for members of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD-RI).

A member of the West Sulawesi Bawaslu, Muhammad Subhan, in Mamuju, Saturday said that the West Sulawesi Bawaslu supervised the administrative verification stages of candidates for members of the West Sulawesi DPD-RI.

He said the West Sulawesi Bawaslu had dispatched a team to oversee the stages of the election in all districts in West Sulawesi.

"So far, there have been no indications or allegations of violations committed by the West Sulawesi KPU regarding the implementation of the administrative verification stages for the DPD RI candidates," Subhan said as quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 8.

He said that previously the West Sulawesi Bawaslu had supervised the registration of candidates for DPD-RI West Sulawesi members by observing the procedures, procedures, or mechanisms for implementing these stages and no violations were found at the election stage.

He conveyed that the West Sulawesi Bawaslu will continue to strive to ensure that the West Sulawesi KPU implements every stage of the election to comply with applicable regulations, including in verifying the administration of DPD candidates.

He said the West Sulawesi Bawaslu had prepared complaint services for people who felt aggrieved or found violations at the administrative verification stage of DPD-RI candidates.

He also asked all candidates for DPD-RI to report if they feel harmed or find any violations committed by election organizers.

"Every complaint related to election violations will be processed in accordance with applicable legal rules and regulations," he said.
