Prabowo To Gerindra Party Cadres: If Not Suitable, Look For Other Parties

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto invited his cadres who were no longer comfortable moving to other parties. They were asked to submit a letter of resignation.

This was conveyed by Prabowo in front of the cadres who were present at the inauguration of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) and the Presidential Winning Body today, Saturday, January 7.

"If it doesn't match Prabowo, it's okay. Look for other parties. Moving parties is okay," Prabowo said in Slipi, West Jakarta.

Prabowo gave an example, he had also resigned from the Golkar Party. "I wrote a letter to say goodbye," he said.

He reminded his cadres to obey every party's decision. Prabowo said, the Gerindra Party must be solid and must not think only for one person or certain group.

"Don't let the party run out, don't join the party line. This is not true," said the Minister of Defense.

"This is not part of loyalty, team work. The cohesiveness of good cooperation is what makes us strong and superior. We do not think for a moment but in the long term for the nation of the country," continued Prabowo.

After the Prabowo event, he didn't want to talk much about his speech. He invited the public to draw conclusions from his innuendo.

"You take your own conclusions," he said.

Meanwhile, the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that the speech was not intended for certain figures. However, he said this statement was a deterrent for cadres who did not want to join the party's rules.

"In principle, it's anyone. If a cadre wants to leave, right, come out fine," said Dasco at the same location.

Dasco said the party bearing the Garuda bird would not detain its cadres if they wanted to leave or move. The space is free open.

"We don't have anyone holding back people who want to come forward," he concluded.
