Ministry Of Home Affairs Explains DKI DPRD Budget: Not Strange, But Account Code Error

JAKARTA - The Director of Regional Budget Planning at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Bahri, emphasized that he has evaluated no irregularities in the 2021 DPRD budget. However, errors in placing accounts were found.

"It's not unusual, there's just an error in the account code. There is a misplacement. So, it's not awkward, I ask permission to straighten it out," said Bahri as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 23.

Bahri said the account code error may have occurred due to the existence of the latest legal umbrella, namely Permendagri 90/2020 which regulates the classification code, codification and nomenclature of regional development and financial planning.

"We straighten it out, there was a placement error. Because now the new account code is based on Permendagri 90/2020," said Bahri.

Bahri also said there was no problem with the DKI DPRD budget with a nominal value of Rp580 billion.

"There is no problem, only the wrong account code, the placement (account code) is (wrong)," said Bahri.

Previously, Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, M. Taufik, stated that the odd budget of Rp. 580,135,824,007 found in the evaluation by the Ministry of Home Affairs turned out to be a budget for the secretariat not for members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

"Please separate, there are DPRD activities, there are voluntary activities (Secretariat of the Council). Not only the DPRD, it is not our business that was mentioned yesterday (a budget of Rp580 billion). It has nothing to do with DPRD members," said Taufik.

Taufik responded to the news regarding the odd budget from the 2021 DPRD budget mentioned by representatives of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

On Tuesday, December 22, the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) said that it had found a number of irregularities in the 2021 DKI Jakarta Regional Budget Draft.

The Director of Regional Budget Planning at the Ministry of Home Affairs Bahri stated that the irregularities were found in the Annual Work Plan (RKT) of the DKI Jakarta DPRD members.

A number of irregularities were found, among them related to the procurement of complete civilian clothing, capital expenditure for audio equipment, capital expenditure for personal computers and capital expenditure for other computer equipment at the DPRD Secretariat.

"Inside is the contents of the computer model spending which is still chaotic and we have asked for it to be fixed," said Bahri at the DPRD DKI Jakarta Building.
