SEMARANG Polda Central Java oversees three large national and international agendas in 2023. The three agendas are a series of election stages, the FIFA U-20 World Cup and the League 1 and League 2 football titles.

This was conveyed by the Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi at the Borobudur building of the Central Java Police Headquarters, Thursday, December 29.

Also present were Military Commander IV/Diponegoro Major General TNI Widi Prasetijono, representatives of Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkompinda) and the main officials of the Regional Police. Meanwhile, the police chiefs and members participated in the activity online

The Kapolda explained that the Central Java Police had developed a strategy to secure the stages of elections, FIFA U-20 world trophies and League 1 and League 2 titles.

"Regarding the election, we have prepared a scenario for securing the entire series of activities. As for securing World Cup football, we have coordinated and checked directly at the Manahan stadium as the place to be used at the World Cup later," said Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi in a written statement, Thursday, December 29.

A number of other materials related to securing national strategic projects, the dynamics of Kamtibmas and a number of world-scale activities were also presented by the Kapolda during the press conference at the end of the year.

He explained that the Central Java Police had deployed all personnel in every community activity. The goal is that people feel safe, protected as well as a means of prevention if there is a potential for criminal acts.

"If there are police at a location, criminals will cancel their intentions. Therefore, the deployment of personnel is intended so that the public feels that the police are present in their midst, so that they are calmly active," added the Kapolda.

However, the Kapolda apologized if the performance of the Central Java Police during 2022 was deemed not in accordance with the expectations of the community. He emphasized the commitment of the Central Java Police to further improve in 2023.

"We want the public to really feel the presence of the police in their midst. I, as the Kapolda and PJU, the Police Chief and PJU will directly monitor community activities. The police chief to Bhabinkamtibmas must be present to secure remote villages, so that our people feel safe," he said.
