JAKARTA - Perumda Pasar Jaya will revitalize a number of traditional markets in 2023. Revitalization is carried out to provide comfort for traders and the community. "In 2023, several markets that have been running (revitalization) are the Main Market (Kramat Jati), we will not close some other markets, of course, by adjusting the existing conditions," said General Manager of Perumda Pasar Jaya, Agus Lamun to reporters, Wednesday, December 28. Agus Lamun explained, the revitalization activity is the main target of Perumda Pasar Jaya. Moreover, currently conditions are in the middle of the rainy season. "We hope that the improvement of the parent market will be our effort in providing good facilities and infrastructure to traders," he said.

In the future, Perumda Pasar Jaya will also revitalize several traditional markets in Jakarta. However, Perumda Pasar Jaya has not mentioned in detail which market locations will be repaired. Previously, the revitalization of Kramat Jati Market was a follow-up to the direction of the Governor of DKI Jakarta so that every traditional market is beautified and clean. Kramat Jati Market has 2,188 business places (TU). During the revitalization, traders will be placed in temporary locations around the market.
