PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta) has extended the operational period of tourist buses to welcome the New Year 2023 holiday. Free since last December 25, the operation of this tourist bus has been extended until January 8, 2023.
Head of Transjakarta Corporate Secretary Division Anang Rizkani Noor said Transjakarta provides as many as 8 (Eight) bus units that can be used by customers.
"The maximum bus capacity carries 80 people and no customers are allowed to stand. We also operate tourist buses with open roofs that can be enjoyed by the public," said Anang in his statement, Wednesday, December 28.
Anang explained that tourist buses that previously operated every Tuesday to Sunday would serve the community every day from 10.00 to 17.00 WIB. There are two routes that are crossed, namely Istiqlal HI Roundabout (BW2) and IRTI Monas Senayan Roundabout (BW4).

Then, it will increase the number of buses that will operate during the 2022 Christmas and 2023 New Year celebrations. This addition is made especially at crowded points.
Director of Operations and Safety of PT Transjakarta, Yoga Adiwinarto revealed, on New Year's Eve 2023, the addition of the Transjakarta bus fleet was carried out at tourist locations.
"Operational plans are like in Ragunan, TMII, and Ancol. Historically, that's quite a lot. So that's where we will add more fleets," said Yoga.
Then, Transjakarta will also have the opening of bus routes, for example from Ciledug, from Puri Beta, to Ragunan. Then, the route from Ancol to Harmoni. This is done to speed up visitors to be able to use public transportation.
Meanwhile, on New Year's Eve, Transjakarta buses operating at night will also be added. The addition was mainly carried out at the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) which was used as a provincial level New Year's Eve celebration.
In addition, Transjakarta also added dozens of corridor 1 buses to accommodate customers using buses along Jalan Sudirman to MH Thamrin on New Year's Eve.
"There will be an additional 60 buses in corridor 1 (Blok M-Kota) to supply customers from these crowded places to their respective places. Approximately at night it is usually between 70 and 80 buses. So there will be 140 of them in the evening. We don't want people to come down for a long time waiting at the bus stop, "explained Yoga.
