Queue For The Rapid Antigen Test Service At Soekarno-Hatta, AP II: We Advise Test Passengers Before Going To The Airport

JAKARTA - This morning, Tuesday, December 22, there was a long queue of prospective aircraft passengers who wanted to carry out a rapid antigen test to detect the risk of the corona virus (COVID-19) at the Kalayang Shelter, Terminal 2, Soekarno-Hatta Airport. The Soekarno-Hatta airport management, namely PT Angkasa Pura II, appealed to avoid long queues, it is better if prospective aircraft passengers take a COVID-19 test before arriving at Soekarno-Hatta airport.

Director of Operation and Service of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhamad Wasid in his official statement said the number of passengers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport had increased in the last few days during the Christmas and New Year 2020/2021 transportation period.

"There are so many passengers with various destinations throughout Indonesia. We prepare as much personnel as possible, 100 percent of the staff are deployed. We also guarantee the facilities and infrastructure to function properly," he said.

He conveyed that each prospective airplane passenger is required to show a COVID-19 test result certificate in accordance with the Circular Letter of the Directorate General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Number 22/2020 and Circular of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Number 03/2020.

In accordance with the circular, prospective aircraft passengers during the Christmas and New Year period are required to show a negative result of the antigen rapid test no later than 3x24 hours before departure for flights from and to or between airports in Java Island.

Especially for flights to Denpasar, the letter shown is a negative result using RT-PCR no later than 7x24 hours before departure.

Meanwhile, Soekarno-Hatta Airport Executive General Manager Agus Haryadi will validate the COVID-19 test results by personnel of the Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health (KKP Kemenkes) and airline check-in officers.

"We appeal to prospective aircraft passengers to have a COVID-19 test letter before arriving at the airport. For those who already have the test result letter, it is enough to come 2 hours before departure," he said.

However, he continued, for those who do not have a test letter and are planning to do a test at the airport, we recommend arriving 4 hours before departure.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport has seven locations for the COVID-19 test, namely the Airport Health Center at T2 (Skytrain Station-Walk in service), Airport Health Center at T2 (Terminal 2D-Pre-order service), Airport Health Center at T3 (SMMILE Center- Walk in service).

Then, Airport Health Center at T3 (Umrah lounge area-Pre-order service), Drive Thru test at T3 parking lot, Drive Thru test at T2 parking lot, and Drive Thru test at T1 parking lot.

Agus Haryadi said that at each Airport Health Center location a shuttle bus is also provided to direct prospective aircraft passengers to conduct tests at other locations if there are enough queues.
