Bali Governor Wayan Koster has set January 29 as a commemoration of Bali's Arak Day, as stipulated in the Decree of the Governor of Bali Number 929/03-I/HK/2022.

"In an effort and strategy to strengthen the protection and empowerment of Balinese wine, Bali's Arak Day was set with the aim of commemorating Bali Governor Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning Governance of Balinese Fermentation and/or Destillation as a milestone for changing status that raises the existence, value and value of Balinese Arak," said Koster as quoted by Antara, Saturday, December 24.

In addition, Koster also invited the entire community, government, and business actors to make this day a day of collective awareness of Balinese people regarding the existence, value, and value of Balinese wine.

Another goal, he said, is to protect and maintain wine in accordance with cultural values and empower, market, and use the drink as a sustainable people's economy.

He appealed to all components to avoid the use of Balinese wine for activities that are contrary to the essential value of the wine and the prevailing laws and regulations.

January 29 itself is the day the Regulation of Bali Regulation Number 1 of 2020. Since the enactment of the governor's regulation, the people of the Balinese arak business, such as MSMEs and cooperatives, have received protection and legality.

In fact, said the Governor, various processed products based on Balinese wine have received distribution permits from BPOM RI and excise stamps from the Bali Provincial Customs Office.

"The Balinese wine craftsmen welcome their joy, various creativity grows, ranging from elegant and quality packaging to processed innovation with various flavors and flavors," said the Governor.

In the event which took place at the Art Center Cultural Park, Governor Koster said that at least 28 Balinese arak products had been circulating since 2022.

"The Balinese people are getting closer to Balinese wine, back to what their ancestors did. I also regularly drink wine coffee without sugar, it tastes delicious so that the body becomes healthy and is more resistant to working until night," he said.

It was also explained that Balinese wine was produced through a long process with accuracy, accuracy, perseverance, and uniqueness. These efforts were obtained from ancestral heritage.

In the past, he said, Balinese ancestors used to consume wine coffee for health purposes, while the number one person in the Bali Provincial Government considered that there were many other positive benefits.
