Since This Morning, 57 Thousand Crossing Vehicles Have Been On The Peak Line

BOGOR - West Java stated that as many as 57 thousand vehicles going back and forth on the Bogor Peak Line ahead of Christmas 2022 and New Year's Day 2023 (Nataru), starting Friday, December 23, from 00.00 WIB to Saturday, December 24 at 12.30 WIB.

Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit (Kasatlantas), Dicky Anggi Pranata, said the peak of the homecoming flow or tourist flow ahead of the 2022 Christmas and 2023 New Year holidays had taken place yesterday, Friday, December 23.

"Actually, yesterday's peak was calculated from Friday 00.00 WIB to Saturday at 00.00 WIB there were around 35 thousand vehicles. Then until Saturday afternoon there have been 22 thousand," he said.

He explained that although the H-1 of Christmas Day is no longer the peak of homecoming or tourism, today's number of vehicles, Saturday morning, December until noon reached 22 thousand vehicles or 20 percent higher than usual 18 thousand vehicles.

Quoted from Antara, Simpang Gadog, Bogor Regency, Saturday afternoon showed that after one hour from 12.30 WIB a lane was applied from Puncak Bogor to Jakarta, the traffic situation was observed to be quiet.

Motorcycles and cars do not seem to have passed down from the direction of Puncak Bogor from Cianjur Regency.

The police also reopened two lanes at 14.25 WIB so that vehicles traveling from the Jagorawi Toll Road could return to Puncak Bogor to Cianjur.

He said traffic conditions are expected to start again congested in the afternoon until tonight.

For the sake of smooth traffic, he said, the Bogor Police continued to reduce the number of potential traffic densities by implementing the odd-even system with motor vehicle number plates.

Reflecting on the violations that occurred on the D-2 of the 2022 Christmas Celebration, as many as 2,000 vehicles were caught on an electronic ticketing camera or Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE). Violations are dominated by motorcycles which are then turned back.

"The odd-even will remain in effect from yesterday until tomorrow and will continue ahead of New Year's Eve," said Dicky Anggi Pranata.
