Yusril Doesn't Want To Be A Lawyer Rizieq Shihab, FPI: Never Asked Him For Help

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Ahmad Sabri Lubis, emphasized that his party had never asked or offered Yusril Izha Mahendra to become a lawyer for HRS (Rizieq Shihab).

This statement responded to Yusril, who admitted that he had been asked to become Rizieq's attorney, the high priest of FPI in facing the alleged crowd case that made him a suspect.

"Never asked him (Yusril) to help him," said Sabri Lubis to VOI, Monday, December 21.

No different, Secretary of DPP FPI Legal Aid, Aziz Yanuar, said that in facing cases of alleged violations of health protocols, his party or Rizieq Shihab never asked for help from any party. As long as this case was rolling, only the FPI legal team was sent to escort him.

"FPI has never asked him (Yusril) to become a lawyer for HRS or FPI," he said

Aziz said that his party had never asked anyone for help. The legal team currently overseeing the investigation process is loyalist and selfless

"FPI has never begged anyone for assistance to become its legal counsel. We are only assisted by sincere parties and do not expect any response in the world, let alone political motives," he said.

However, Yusril apologized for not being able to fulfill the request. Yusril also suggested that these parties should ask Prabowo Subianto for help, who is currently the Minister of Defense.

Previously it was reported, Yusril Ihza Mahendra confirmed that he was asked to defend or become Rizieq Shihab's lawyer. This followed Rizieq Shihab as a suspect in the alleged crowd case in Petamburan, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

"Why not ask Prabowo Subijanto for help? I say you are apostates and infidels. He is the Defense Minister and President Jokowi's men, of course he can help. Until now, I am outside the government and have not been anyone's subordinate. people whom you consider apostates and infidels like me, "said Yusril.

Yusril also reminded that before the election, he had started to be wronged and berated by those who asked him for help. Some even said that I was an apostate and disbeliever. They screamed through social media, through their TV streaming network, through banners and others inviting to drown the UN.

"It's all because I don't want to support Prabowo Subijanto. Neno Warisman even said that maybe people will not worship Allah anymore if Prabowo loses the presidential election," he said.
