West Java Deputy Police Chief Jamin Security All Churches In Their Region

CIREBON - Deputy Chief of West Java Regional Police (Wakapolda) Brigadier General Pol. Bariza Sulfi said all churches in his jurisdiction were in a safe condition, and sterilization had been carried out, so it was hoped that the Christmas celebration would run smoothly.

"All churches in the jurisdiction of the West Java Regional Police have been sterilized today," said West Java Deputy Chief of Police Brigadier General Pol Bariza as quoted by Antara from Cirebon, Saturday, December 24.

According to him, all ranks of the West Java Regional Police carried out church sterilization activities, and security in order to welcome Christmas 2022 in all jurisdictions of the West Java Regional Police.

Bariza guarantees that all churches are safe, there are no obstacles, so that people or pilgrims who will worship them in the church can feel comfortable and solemn.

According to him, the implementation of the Christmas celebration has indeed begun today, for that his party has deployed officers at every church in the context of security.

"Today the West Java Regional Police are carrying out security in the context of celebrating Christmas. So far the results have been under control," he said.

He appealed to the congregation not to bring suspicious items when they came in to buy them, and to bring what was needed, not to raise suspicions from officers.

He also invited all people to work together to maintain security during the 2023 Christmas and New Year celebrations, so that everything runs smoothly without any obstacles.

"We appeal to the entire community and pilgrims to help with security by bringing goods which are only to buy them. This is to anticipate things that are not desirable," he said.

During Christmas and New Year's 2023, there were 20 thousand joint officers consisting of the TNI, Polri, Satpol PP, and others prepared for security, both in churches, toll roads, arteries and tourist routes.
