JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Heru Budi Hartono said that the spiritual singing of Christmas Carol at three points in the capital city can foster harmony in Jakarta. "This momentum can at the same time foster a spirit of tolerance and harmony in the city of Jakarta," said Heru while reviewing the spiritual song at the Hotel Indonesia (HI) roundabout, Jakarta, Antara, Friday, December 23. At this year's Christmas celebration, spiritual singing was again present simultaneously in three locations, namely Kendal Tunnel, HI Roundabout pedestrian path, and Kota Tua tourist area 19-23 December 2022. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government synergizes with various parties and stakeholders in the implementation of a series of Christmas celebration activities in Jakarta, including those held in public spaces. The collaboration includes the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), religious leaders, religious institutions, religious communities, the choir community, and Jakarta residents. Heru expressed his appreciation to all parties, officials, stakeholders and residents of Jakarta who have worked together to support this year's series of Christmas celebration activities. Thus, the implementation of this year's Christmas celebration will be conducive, safe and orderly. "This activity is to enliven, enliven Christmas celebrations, this is a good activity. Of course we must respect each other, respect, for those who celebrate Christmas," he said. Meanwhile, the spiritual choir received an enthusiastic response from residents who witnessed and were entertained to listen to the melodious roar of the Christmas Kidung singer. They also hope that for next year's Christmas celebration, the location of the Christmas Carol activity can be added. Regarding this, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Andhika Permata said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government certainly welcomes input from residents for future improvements. "We are very supportive for future improvements. So, from what we have done, of course, we have received appreciation from the community and to add various points so that we can make it like this," he explained. The singing of the Christmas song was displayed by a number of choir groups from the art and youth community in Jakarta, namely Jakarta Youth Choir, Unika Atmajaya, Y2K Studio, Kalimantan, and Kancatala. Each performer sang about 10-14 songs which started at 15.30-17.30 WIB. The other series of Christmas celebrations are the Lamp Festival on December 22, 2022-5 January 2023, at the Sumenep Promenade Park, Central Jakarta and the Center for Historical Museums, Jakarta Kota Tua and the joint Christmas celebrations in Ancol on January 13, 2023, which were attended by ASN and DKI Jakarta BUMD employees.
