Charta Politica Survey: Ganjar-Prabowo Duet Potentially Wins One Round

JAKARTA - Charta Politica Indonesia released the results of a survey related to the electability simulation of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election. As a result, the duo Ganjar Pranowo and Prabowo Subianto exceeded 45.3 percent. That means, if Ganjar is paired with Prabowo as a presidential and vice presidential candidate in 2024, then both of them can immediately win in just one round. "There is a tendency if Ganjar Pranowo is side by side with Prabowo Subianto, they have the potential to win one round," said Executive Director of Charta Politica Indonesia, Yunarto Wijaya, in a survey release on Thursday, December 22. However, Yunarto has not been able to conclude whether the duet between Ganjar, who is a PDIP cadre and Prabowo as the Gerindra chairman, can be realized. The reason is, Prabowo so far wants to be a presidential candidate. "I think maybe a more in-depth political analysis is needed regarding the interests of each presidential candidate and of course the ego is related to party voters," Yunarto said. Based on the Charta Politica survey, Ganjar Pranowo's electability was in the top position as a presidential candidate with 37 percent. Followed by Anies Baswedan with 29.2 percent, and Prabowo Subianto with 26.1 percent. The Charta Politica Indonesia survey was conducted on 8-16 December 2022 with a total sample of 1,220 people at least 17 years old or already meeting the voter requirements spread across all provinces in Indonesia. The survey method uses multistage random sampling with a margin of error of 2.82 percent.
