Depok City Government Advisors PARENTS Of Pondok Cina Elementary School Students 1 To Create Qualitative Children

JAKARTA - The Depok City Government is holding psychosocial assistance to the parents of students of SDN Pondok Cina 1. The activity which took place at SDN Pondok Cina 3 is in collaboration with the Harmoni Family Learning Center (Puspaga).

The Harmoni Center is fronted by the Depok City Office for Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) to conduct a teaching held on Tuesday, December 20 yesterday.

The head of the Harmoni Puspaga, Ima Halimah, explained that the psychosocial held was in the form of a parenting seminar on how parents can accompany children's growth and development. Moreover, elementary school (SD) children really need more attention and assistance.

"This activity intends to provide education about parenting and students to parents, so that later they can create quality children," said Ima Halimah, quoted from the city government website, Wednesday, December 21.

Ima said, approximately 50 parents participated in the activity. The presentation, which was hosted by Kobek Puspaga Harmoni, Retno Wijayanti, was held so that individuals and families would be more empowered in dealing with various problems.

"We hope that the role of parents and educators can work together in the development of children's growth and development at home and school. That way, children can get proper education, safe and according to the procedure," he said.

Previously, Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris decided to postpone the eviction to relocate SDN Pocin 1. Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir advised the Depok City Government that the construction of SDN Pocin 1 which would be relocated must be similar to the old school.

"I have asked the City Government not to build a mosque in that place before there is certainty that the children and residents have received the relocation. The allocation must be representative, at least not the same as before. Thank God it can be in more condition," said Muhadjir.

Muhadjir revealed that the determination of the location for the transfer of SDN Pocin 1 to be evicted will begin to be realized in early 2023.

On that occasion, Muhadjir also reminded West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil to intervene to resolve the polemic of relocation of SDN Pocin 1 which drew protests from parents of students.

Depok City Government -- before finally tapping the hammer if the relocation of SDN Pondok Cina 1 was postponed -- seemed to close the ears of all criticisms.

The Depok City Satpol PP had tried to forcibly vacate the SDN land. The Satpol PP action received strong resistance from parents of students. The inflammation carried out by parents of students was carried out so that the school remained standing. They refused to carry out the emptying. The plan is for the school building to be converted into a large mosque.
