Ferdy Sambo Becomes A Crown Witness Of The Obstruction Of Justice Session Irfan Widyanto

Ferdy Sambo is undergoing trial related to the death of Brigadier J at the South Jakarta District Court (M Irfan-VOI)

JAKARTA - The former Head of Propam Ferdy Sambo is scheduled to be presented as a crown witness in the alleged obstruction of investigation or obstruction of justice case of the death of Brigadier J. He will testify for the defendant Irfan Widyanto.

"The plan is FS (Ferdy Sambo, ed)," said Irfan's legal adviser, Ragahdo Yosodiningrat when confirmed, Friday, December 16.

Based on the witness data that will be presented by the public prosecutor (JPU), there are several other names, namely, Hendra Kurniawan, Agus Nurpatra Adi Purnama, and Arif Rachman Arifin.

They were originally also defendants in this case. Thus, the five people had the status of crown witnesses in the trial of the defendant Irfan Widyanto.

"It was (the witness, red) from the prosecutor," said Ragahdo.

Irfan Widyanto is one of the defendants in the obstruction of justice case. He was charged with securing the CCTV DVR of the Police Complex security post, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta.

The CCTV DVR is important evidence in the process of investigating the death of Brigadier J.

Thus, Irfan Widyanto is suspected of violating Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 subsidiary Article 48 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 32 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law Number 19 of 2016 and/or the second indictment of Article 233 of the Criminal Code subsidiary Article 221 paragraph (1) to 2 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to (1) of the Criminal Code.
