JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Riau Islands Province has postponed the determination of the plenary results of the provincial-level vote count recapitulation for the 2020 Governor / Deputy Governor Election. "The plenary meeting was postponed until tomorrow, Saturday, December 19," said KPU Commissioner Kepri Arison after the plenary meeting of the recapitulation of vote counts at the CK Hotel Tanjungpinang, reported by Antara, Friday, December 18.
Arison said there were around 700 polling stations from four sub-districts in Batam City that had not been inputted by e-Rekap. Namely, Lubuk Baja, Sagulung, Nongsa, Batam City Districts.
This, he said, prevented his party from printing the e-Recap results to be used as minutes.
"Therefore, today we cannot determine the winner. We will postpone the announcement tomorrow," he said.
Nevertheless, he continued, all witnesses agreed that the manual vote count results from the seven regencies / cities had not changed.
"This is just an administrative matter of the system," said Arison.
Based on the results of the provisional plenary on Friday, the pair of candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor / Deputy Governor of Riau Islands serial number 03 Ansar Ahmad-Marlin Agustina won the most votes with a total of 308,553 votes.
Meanwhile, candidate pair number 02 Isdianto-Suryani got 280,160 votes, and candidate pair number 01 Soerya Respationo-Iman Sutiawan got 183,317 votes.
Candidate candidate pair number 03, Ansar Ahmad-Marlin Agustina won 28,393 votes from the Isdianto-Suryani pair, and 125,236 votes from the Soerya Respationo-Iman Sutiawan pair.
Paslon Ansar Ahmad-Marlin Agustina won votes in five districts / cities throughout the Riau Islands, namely in Bintan Regency, Natuna Regency, Lingga Regency, Anambas Islands Regency, and Tanjungpinang City.
Meanwhile, the Isdianto-Suryani candidate pair excels in two districts / cities, namely in Karimun Regency and Batam City. province.
Kepri Bawaslu commissioner Indrawan Susilo Prabowoadi ensured that the plenary process for the vote count was going well and there were no serious problems, except for an administrative one.
