Sandiaga Uno Predicts The Tourism Trend Of Healing Diminati Next Year

JAKARTA - Menparekraf Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, predicts a travel trend that is likely to be in demand next year. He said, healing tourism which is part of the wellness tourism (fitness tourism) is still and will be in demand by travelers in 2023.

Sandiaga Uno sees a paradigm shift in traveling, tourists will look for tourism or holidays for their mental health and also their thoughts.

"In the future there will be a shift of paradigm (pardigm shift). Wellness tourism suddenly increases, people want to healing. Healing is not for physical being, but for true feeling. Refreshing does not make pockets dry, let alone the head of the pen and this is called wellness tourism," said Sandiaga Uno, Wednesday, December 14.

Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Ni Wayan Giri Andyani, also revealed that there was a change in the trend that occurred after the COVID-19 pandemic.

"In the future, travel decisions will be related to quality factors related to mindfulness (awareness), sensing shifting, culture immersion, and quality travel arrangements," he said.

Today's Travelers tend to prioritize health problems and choose environmentally friendly tours.

"However, with the COVID-19 pandemic that we are experiencing, this aspect is shifting, people put the problem of health cleanliness as well as outdoor activities and sustainability problems as well as a part," said Ni Wayan Giri.

"People are more concerned about health issues, then take better advantage of digitalization," he continued.

From research data, tourists do not mind paying more expensively, if the destination is very concerned with environmental problems.

"There is a study that it is cool that tourists or travelers are willing to pay more expensive, if their destinations are very concerned about sustainability problems. Environmental problems are environmental conservation and are also very willing to participate related to environmental issues," said Ni Wayan Giri.

Furthermore, tourists are predicted to look for new destinations to spend the holidays. This is followed by the emergence of off-grid travel, where more and more tourists want new experiences.

"This culture exhibition is felt to be extraordinary and many say that off-grid travel is a journey that goes from a long journey to a new destination," said Sandiaga Uno.

The trend of working from tourist destinations or work from destinations is also still a trend in the future.
