The Eviction Of SDN 1 Pondok Cina Is A New Violence System Created By The Depok City Government Education System

The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) assesses that the eviction case of SDN 1 Pondok Cina, Depok is a new act of violence. This is because, said Komnas HAM Commissioner Putu Elvira, because the violence came from an unplanned relocation system.

"The relocation is not done well, whether it's access, placement and so on. So this creates a new violence actually by the system, because the placement or relocation is not planned properly," said Putu Elvira to reporters at SDN 1 Pondok Cina, Depok, Monday, December 12.

The polemic of SDN 1 Pondok Cina emerged when the Depok City Government (Pemkot) would carry out the school eviction. And the land will be built by a mosque. Meanwhile, students will be transferred to other schools such as SDN Pondok Cina 3 or 5.

On that basis, Putu assessed that the school's relocation was not possible for students of SDN 1 Pondok Cina who in fact had 12 study groups with a total of 362 people, had less class transferred.

If relocation is forced, said Putu, it is very likely that students will get violence from the education system implemented by the Depok City Government.

"So there are indications that these children will get violence, of course the negligence built by the system. So that their educational rights are disrupted," said Putu.

Putu asked West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil to Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris to consider plans to build a mosque on the land of SDN 1 Pondok Cina.

"We encourage the mayor or governor to consider carefully this plan. Unless Depok City has a surplus of school buildings, so it will be easy," he said.

"But if children are entrusted or placed by taking other schools, so that there is a change in study hours, new places of access, this has the potential to injure their right to optimal lessons," he explained.
