Royal Air Maroc Prepares 30 Special Flights To Qatar Ahead Of The 2022 World Cup Semifinals Morocco Vs France

JAKARTA - Morocco's national airline, Royal Air Marec, announced it would offer new flights to Doha, Qatar to fans of the country's football who want to support the national team directly at the 2022 World Cup.

"Following the historic qualification of the national team to the semifinals of the World Cup, and to allow supporters to continue to support the national team during the next match, Royal Air Marec provides facilities to manage their tickets," the airline said in a statement quoted by the Morocco Press Office (MAP), reported by Marocco World News December 12.

Citing Reuters, Morocco's Royal Air Marec will operate 30 special flights to bring football fans from Casablanca to Doha for Wednesday's World Cup semifinal match against France.

"Flights will depart on Tuesdays and Wednesdays," said the airline on Monday.

Royal Air Marec also plans to defend its flight from Doha to Morocco, for fans who want to return to his country.

For those wishing to stay overnight, airlines will offer the opportunity to reset the return date at no cost or additional cost on this occasion.

On Saturday, the Morocco national football team made history by beating Portugal 1-0 and qualifying for the World Cup semifinals, becoming the first African and Arab countries to achieve this feat.

Morocco supporters in the stands have played a major role in the team's victory so far, with international outlets and FIFA praising the audience for providing support to the team.

Many say the Morocco players feel as if playing at home, thanks to the support of all the Arab and African fans behind the Atlas Lions, as they are their only representatives in the competition.

The Morocco team also received support from broader fans who did not follow the team before watching the competition, as they have emerged as the story of the dark horse and underdog in the 2022 World Cup.
