Three women, including a friend of Prime Minister Meloni, were killed on Sunday, when a man pulled out a gun and opened fire at a resident meeting of an apartment block in Rome.
PM Meloni uploaded a photo of himself with Nicoletta Goliso, one of the victims on Instagram on Sunday night.
"For me she will always be beautiful and happy like this," wrote PM Meloni next to the photo.

Later, Italian police arrested a 57-year-old man who had been paralyzed by residents at a bar in the Fidene city district.
"The suspect is a local man who was involved in a series of disputes with the association of citizens," a witness told Rai News.
"He walked into the room, closed the door and shouted 'I'm going to kill all of you' and then started shooting," Italian news agency Ansa quoted another witness as saying.
In addition to the death toll, four others were injured in the shooting, with at least one of them seriously injured.
PM Meloni said the location of the shooting where the suspect used his gun in the attack had been shut down and investigated by authorities.
