JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Defense Minister Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak said the granting of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel Tituler to celebrity Deddy Corbuzier (DC) because of his ability to communicate on social media to spread national messages. "Deddy was given that rank considering the special abilities needed by the TNI, namely the capacity of communication in social media, capabilities, and 'performance' DC would help the TNI to spread national messages and socialization of TNI tasks in order to maintain the defense of the Republic of Indonesia," said Dahnil when confirmed in Jakarta, Saturday, December 10, Dahnil explained that Deddy would be directly bound by military rules, including his voting rights in elections. "Deddy will be bound by military rules, including the loss of voting rights during his tenure," said Dahnil. The awarding of the rank was ratified by TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa and Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) General TNI Dudung Abdurachman. The basis of the law of giving power to Deddy Corbuzier, according to Dahnil, is Government Regulation (PP) Number 39 of 2010 concerning the Administration of TNI soldiers. According to the PP, the term is one of the special TNI powers other than the local rank. Explanation of Article 5 paragraph (2) letter b wrote that the rank of term is a power given to a citizen that is commensurate with his position of soldiers. The position that is denoted by a person with the rank of soldiers, as low as Lieutenant Two. The rank of tentular is given to citizens who are needed and willing to carry out the duties of certain army positions within the TNI. The task of this particular soldier position is a position within TNI that is absolutely occupied by officers, such as spiritual officers or co-cordic officers.

The use of the tautular rank itself only applies as long as the recipient holds the position of soldiering. After the person who receives the term takuler is no longer a soldier position, the rank will be revoked.

Article 29 of PP Number 39 of 2010 also explained that the recipient of theituler rank will receive limited administrative treatment as long as he still holds the position or rank has not been revoked. Previously, Deddy Corbuzier in his Instagram account admitted that he was given the rank of Lieutenant Colonel Situler of the Army by Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto. "This means starting a new journey for me to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Republic of Indonesia in a clean and impartial manner except for Pancasila. Hopefully, with my presence in the TNI extended family, I can give more new colors and ideas for the people, nation and state," said Deddy.
