Labor Party Will Action In Front Of The State Palace Today

JAKARTA - The Labor Party will hold a demonstration in the State Palace area, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, December 10. The action is a commemoration of International Human Rights Day (HAM). "The Labor Party together with labor union organizations and farmers intend to hold a demonstration to commemorate Human Rights Day (HAM) worldwide," said Labor Party President Said Iqbal in his statement, Saturday, December 10. The demonstration will be attended by several labor organizations. For example, KSPI, ORI KSPSI, KPBI, (K) SBSI, SPI, Women's Organization BELIEVE, household worker organizations, poor cities, youth organizations or students, and various other elements. "Apart from Jakarta, actions will also be carried out in various other regencies or cities in Indonesia," said Said Iqbal. In the action later, nine demands will be submitted. Starting from the rejection of the Criminal Code Law, the Omnibus Law-Cipta Work, and the Land Reform-Reforma Agrarian and Food Sovereignty. Then, ask to immediately legalize the Household Workers Protection Bill (PPRT), refuse low wages, and refuse outsourcing. There are also demands for social security which include food, education, housing, clean water, unemployment. Finally, support the eradication of corruption and the thorough investigation of all cases of human rights violations.
