Political observer of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Ray Rangkuti, assessed that the argument for postponement of the 2024 General Election, as stated by the Chairman of the MPR Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet), had been refuted. According to him, the recovery factor for COVID-19 to the global economic threat, which is the reason for Bamsoet so that the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Elections is no longer relevant. "So economic, slumping, all kinds of reasons, I think it is clear that it cannot be used as a benchmark and basis," he said. Ray assessed that the expression could imply a feeling of fear of losing and unpreparedness in the face of the 2024 contestation. In fact, Ray suggested that those who wanted to postpone the 2024 General Election to withdraw from the arena. "Since the first time I have suggested those who are not ready to participate in the 2024 General Election, so they should just step back. Don't have to come. Let those who are getting ready to go. Because the assumptions they are building are not us who deny it, they themselves," he concluded.
