A household assistant (ART) named Rohimah (29) who was tortured by her husband and wife in West Bandung Regency received business development assistance. Assistance was provided by the Indonesian Civil Service Corps (Korpri) of the Garut Regency Government (Pemkab).

"PNS Korpri Garut Regency made donations to increase the capital of the stalls that have been established," said Deputy Regent of Garut Helmi Budiman, confiscated by Antara.

He said that the Garut Regency Government had been paying special attention by helping the process of repatriation and handling Rohimah's health.

Including at this time, he said, from the ranks of Korpri, Garut Regency provided cash assistance to encourage the development of stall businesses that sell a number of basic needs of the community.

"Alhamdulillah, Mrs. Rohimah can now be said to be independent, because she opened a shop in front of her house on capital from the Ministry of Social Affairs," Helmi said after visiting Rohimah's house in Cianggor Village, Pangeureunan Village, Limbangan District, Garut Regency, Tuesday, December 7.

According to Helmi, based on Rohimah's confession, the effort he has been working on for more than a month continues to grow, and always returns to spending to meet the needs of its customers.

"Alhamdulillah, continue shopping, continue to grow, and to develop even bigger requires capital," he said.

Helmi and a number of civil servants from the Garut Regency Government directly inspected the condition of the house, as well as the health of Rohimah and its place of business that was established around his house.

Helmi representing Korpri Garut directly handed over a business capital of Rp. 5 million to Rohimah which was considered sufficient for spending to increase his merchandise.

Previously, ART from Garut received treatment and was held captive by her employer, who is a married couple in Cilame Village, West Bandung Regency.

Rohimah was finally rescued by the local community on October 29, 2022, then taken to the hospital for having bruises on her face and several parts on her body.

The husband and wife couple YK (29) and LF (29) have been arrested and the case has been handled by the Cimahi Resort Police.
