Many Disconnected Chains In The Durian Cak Imin Scandal, KPK Will Do Discussion

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that many chains of facts were cut off in the durian cardboard scandal allegedly ensnaring the Chairman of the National Justice Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin. This reason led them to carry out further discussions.

"Indeed, several chains have been broken," said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto to reporters in a KPK RI YouTube broadcast, Tuesday, December 6.

This discussion will determine the fate of the case. So, Karyoto denied that there were parties who said this case had gone up to the investigation stage.

"The durian case is currently up, I don't think there is. There hasn't been any in that direction yet," he said.

"And we also whether or not we want to stop it or not, we will coordinate and we will discuss it with the team that handles it," continued Karyoto.

The KPK previously revealed that the durian cardboard scandal that dragged Cak Imin's name was experiencing difficulties. The reason is that there were two witnesses who knew that the alleged bribery had died.

This durian cardboard scandal was revealed in the trial of the bribery case at the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration (Kemenakertrans) which has now changed its name. At that time, Cak Imin became the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration.

At the trial, Director General of the Directorate General of Transmigration Area Development (P2Ktrans) Jamaluddien Malik said Muhaimin received Rp400 million. The money from the budget cuts at the directorate in 2013 was stored in a durian cardboard box.

Not only that, the name Cak Imin has also been mentioned in the bribery case for the infrastructure project of the Ministry of PUPR in Maluku and North Maluku for the 2016 fiscal year.

In this case, Musa Zainudin, who had sat in the chair of the prisoner, said that he had given Rp6 billion of the Rp7 billion he received as project fee to Cak Imin. However, the money was given not directly but through Jazilul Fawaid, who at that time was Secretary of the PKB Faction.
