Batang Police Chief AKBP Mohamad Irwan Susanto said the case was revealed starting from reports from the victim's parents who were suspicious of seeing their child's vital organs bleeding. "Based on the report, the victim's parents saw that the victim's vital organs were bleeding when they were going to be bathed. Therefore, the victim's parents then reported the case to the Blado Police," he said during the release of the case in Batang, Antara, Monday, December 5. The police who received the report then conducted an investigation and arrested the suspect at his home. The suspect sexually assaulted his 6-year-old student by promising to give snacks. The suspect has committed the obscene act twice, namely in September 2022 and November 2022 when the victim studied to recite the Koran to the perpetrator's house. To support the investigation, his party has carried out a post-mortem on the victim with the results of the vital equipment being damaged. The police chief said that his party is currently still conducting further investigations whether there are other victims of the crime by the suspect. "We cannot confirm whether there are still other victims because there are 10 students of the suspect. In addition, the suspect also serves as head of the Koran Education Center (TPQ)," he said. The victim is now receiving assistance from the Batang Regency Integrated Service Center for Women and Children Empowerment (P2TP2A) and is coordinating with the Central Java Police. The suspect will be subject to Article 81 and Article 82 of the Child Protection Act with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison. "The suspect has been detained by investigators for further investigation," he said. He appealed to residents if there were victims to report immediately and his party would protect the identity of the person concerned.
