PAN And PPP Kompak Jagokan Ganjar Capres 2024, Golkar Masih Setia Dukung Airlangga

JAKARTA - PAN and PPP have given a signal that they want to nominate Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate (candidate) in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). Meanwhile, the Golkar Party is still of the opinion that it fully supports its General Chair, Airlangga Hartarto.

According to Indonesian Public Institute (IPI) political observer Karyono Wibowo, currently in the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) only Golkar is still based on carrying internal coalition cadres to become presidential candidates in 2024.

"Currently Golkar is still firm in its stance to carry Airlangga Hartarto as a presidential candidate," said Karyono in Jakarta, Monday, December 5.

However, Karyono said that PAN and PPP's support for Ganjar's final decision for the KIB. That's because the figure promoted by KIB for the presidential candidate must first be agreed upon by the three coalition members.

"It has not been concluded that KIB is unanimous to carry Ganjar even though it is supported by a number of PAN and PPP administrators. In addition, it has not been decided at the coalition level," said Karyono.

Previously, PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan, said his party was considering a proposal to nominate Ganjar Pranowo as president in the 2024 presidential election.

The Minister of Trade said Ganjar had an electability model because he always excelled in various surveys.

"Of course, the PAN DPP will carefully consider these aspirations, especially since the results of a number of Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo's surveys always occupy the top positions of the three presidential candidates in 2024," said Zulhas in a written statement, Friday, December 2. Meanwhile, Acting Chairperson (Plt) of PPP Mardiono said that there were already 14 Regional Representative Councils (DPW) of his party that supported Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate to run for the 2024 presidential election.

Even so, according to him, PPP is still in the process of determining who will be promoted as a presidential candidate in 2024. One of them is through communication with political parties that are members of KIB.

"So there are several areas, if I'm not mistaken there are 14 regions proposing (so) the DPP to be able to nominate Mr. Ganjar. That is a request for regions," said Mardiono at the State Palace, Wednesday, November 23.
