JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) confirmed that the houses of residents who were relocated due to the earthquake in Cianjur, West Java will begin today, Monday, December 5.

Meanwhile, cash assistance will be given to earthquake victims whose houses were damaged starting Thursday, December 8. The details of the assistance provided are IDR 50 million for damaged houses, IDR 25 million for moderately damaged houses, and IDR 10 million for lightly damaged houses.

Jokowi said the assistance could be taken directly or through savings. "This system has been prepared and I came here to check the preparations," said the former governor of DKI Jakarta.
