Yudo Margono: There Has Been No Order From President Jokowi Regarding The Proposal For KSAL Name Candidates

JAKARTA - Chief of Staff of the Navy (KSAL) Admiral TNI Yudo Margono said, there has been no order from President Joko Widodo regarding the proposal of a candidate to replace him as the supreme leader of the marine dimension.

"There is no order yet, if it is indeed ordered, we will propose it, there is no order yet", said Yudo at the Cilangkap Headquarters, East Jakarta, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 2.

According to him, the candidate for his successor is a high-ranking officer with the rank of three-star or Vice Admiral.

"Yes, if Kasal is automatically from the first three stars, the provisions must be from three stars", he said.

Within the Indonesian Navy, there are at least nine high-ranking officers with the rank of vice admiral.

The 9 three-star Pati, namely Secretary General of the National Defense Council Vice Admiral TNI Harjo Susmoro (AAL 1987) with 3 months of normative retirement age remaining; Head of Bakamla Associate Admiral TNI Aan Kurnia (AAL 1987) with the remaining normative retirement age of 8 months; TNI Inspector General Lieutenant General TNI (Mar) Bambang Suswantono (AAL 1987) with 8 months remaining normative retirement age; Wakasal Vice Admiral TNI Ahmadi Heri Purwono (AAL 1988) with 11 months remaining normative retirement age; Chancellor of the Defense University Vice Admiral TNI Amarulla Octavian (AAL 1988) with a remaining normative retirement age of 11 months.

In addition, the Commander of Pushidrosal Associate Admiral TNI Nurhidayat (AAL 1988) with a remaining normative retirement age of 13 months; Pangkoarmada RI Vice Admiral TNI Herru Kusmanto (AAL 1988) with a remaining normative retirement age of 16 months; Kodiklatal Commander Lieutenant General TNI (Mar) Suhartono (AAL 1988) with the remaining normative retirement age of 14 months; Pangkogabwilhan I Vice Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali (AAL 1989) with a remaining normative retirement age of more than 24 months.

TNI Admiral Yudo Margono on Friday afternoon carried out a "fit and proper test" as a candidate for TNI Commander to replace TNI General Andika Perkasa.

TNI General Andika Perkasa at the end of December 2022 will enter his retirement period as an active TNI soldier. And TNI Admiral Yudo Margono is the sole candidate proposed by Indonesian President Joko Widodo as the person who will lead the TNI institution in the future.
