Mataram City Police (Polresta) investigators examined five teenagers suspected of being involved in drug trafficking. They were examined after being arrested at the boarding house in the Pagutan area, Mataram.

"They were arrested Thursday (December 1) night. So, the investigation is still ongoing," said Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) of the Mataram Police Commissioner I Made Yogi Purusa Utam in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Friday 2 December, quoted from Antara.

The examination by investigators, he explained, led to the alleged criminal act of Article 112 paragraph 2 and/or Article 114 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009.

The alleged crime was in accordance with the confiscated evidence from the arrest of five teenagers with the initials DA, BB, and three of them were women with the initials NM, AS, LA. They are from Sumbawa Island who are still students.

"The evidence is 3 clear plastic clips containing crystal methamphetamine with a gross weight of 12.7 grams. It was found in the bag," he said.

In addition to drugs, the police confiscated evidence that corroborated the alleged role of dealers, namely electric scales, bundles of clear plastic clips, and shabu-shabu suction devices.

"We also got savings books, ATM cards, and IDR 900 thousand in cash which were allegedly the proceeds from the sale from the bag," he said.

From the results of the interrogation, he said, the male perpetrator admitted that the item came from someone who lives in the Gunungsari area, West Lombok Regency.

The police on the night of the arrest, he said, had traced the whereabouts of a person known as a supplier.

"But, when we came to his house, that person was not there," said Yogi.

Meskipun demikian, dia memastikan bahwa pihaknya akan terus melakukan pengembangan kasus ini di lapangan.

"We have confiscated the hands of the perpetrators. From there we will trace the supplier. We will continue to pursue it," he said.
