JAKARTA - The chairman of the PPP DPP, Achmad Baidowi, responded to the statement by the General Chairperson of PAN Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) who said that the General Chairperson of Golkar, Airlangga Hartarto, was a priority to be nominated as a presidential candidate from the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB). According to him, Zulhas' statement was only a discourse because until now KIB has not decided who will be promoted as a presidential candidate. This opinion, he said, is the same as PPP, which wants General Chair Mardiono as vice presidential candidate. Of course Mardiono is a priority for PPP. "Yes, it's the same as we prioritized Pak Mardiono as a vice presidential candidate for PPP. Maybe PAN is different," said Awiek. However, Awiek assessed that the three leaders of political parties who are members of KIB deserve to be nominated in the 2024 presidential election.
