Democrats View Inevitably Budi Gunawan's Speech Called 'Leaders Have Face Disrupts' Identical With Prabowo

JAKARTA - The Democrat Party responded to the statement by the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Budi Gunawan regarding the criteria for leaders to have wrinkles on the face identical to Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto. Deputy of the Democratic Party's DPP Election Winning Body, Kamhar Lakumani, assessed Budi Gunawan's remarks as potentially injuring democracy. This is because it can be interpreted as an endorsement of certain figures in the 2024 presidential election (pilpres).

"It is unethical, this has the potential to injure democracy. Moreover, Pak Budi Gunawan holds a position with such great power," said Kamhar in his statement, Thursday, December 1.

Although Budi Gunawan's words were only a joke, for Kamhar, they could be interpreted as an order because they were expressed in formal events.

"Even though this is intended only as a personal attitude or joke, it still doesn't fit, especially since this message is conveyed at a formal event that can be interpreted as an instruction or order," said Kamhar.

Previously, the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Budi Gunawan (BG), said that the criteria for leaders with wrinkles on their faces were identical to that of the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto. "We all captured a message from Mr. Jokowi about wrinkles on his forehead to become a criteria measure, so we all noticed that from earlier the wrinkles were 100 percent identical to Pak Prabowo at this time," joked Budi when submitting a report on the inauguration of the Surabaya Nusantara Student Dormitory as seen on the YouTube account of the Presidential Secretariat, Tuesday, November 29.

Budi also noticed that recently, Prabowo is getting closer to Jokowi. "We are all listening to you that recently the Minister of Defense Pak Prabowo has been increasingly seen being close to the President, Pak Jokowi," said Budi.

Budi then assessed that Prabowo only needed to adjust the color of his hair as said by Jokowi, the leader who thought about the people's hair to whitening. Budi also prayed that Prabowo's path in the future could be successful.

"Just the color of the hair needs to be adjusted, sir. We pray that he will get a good way, good luck from Pak Jokowi for a bright walk forward," said Budi.
