West Java Regional Police are investigating hoaxes related to uploading baby sales with the mode of adoption of children affected by the Cianjur earthquake through social media. "We will conduct an in-depth investigation if we get it and it can be developed and profiling of the people, we will process the law," said Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, at the Cianjur Police, West Java, Antara, Tuesday, November 29. Ibrahim claimed to have received information on the sale of babies to adopt children affected by the Cianjur earthquake through social media. From the search results, Ibrahim emphasized that the upload of information through social media could not be accounted for which was misleading to the public, so it contained a criminal element. "We have been closely monitored regarding the post of the sale of babies, so far there has been no information or data or reports that we have received," said Ibrahim. Ibrahim added that the West Java Regional Police had not yet received reports or complaints of the sale of baby victims of the Cianjur earthquake. Ibrahim stated that the West Java Police clarified the untrue information and entered the criminal realm. Ibrahim also appealed to the public to be wise in receiving information related to the Cianjur earthquake, because all parties concentrate more on handling residents affected by the disaster. "We hope that the public will be wise to see that all the information that is rolling is not residual information for misleading people," said Ibrahim.
