Hendropriyono: There Were Politicians Who Used Rizieq's Presence In Detention And Abu Bakar Ba'asyir In Prison

JAKARTA - The existence of a number of politicians who are ready to be guarantor for the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab to Abu Bakar Ba'asyir is seen as an attempt to exploit the situation for their political interests.

This was conveyed by former Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) AM Hendropriyono via his Instagram account @ am.hendropriyono.

"The presence of Abu Bakar Baasyir (ABB) and Muhammad Rizieq Shihab (MRS) in detention is currently being used by certain politicians to fish in the murky water. They will (have even started) to take this opportunity for their personal political interests. Do not let their maneuvers that is misleading, enslaving your minds, especially from the younger generation, "said Hendropriyono as quoted on his Instagram, Tuesday, December 15.

Hendropriyono said, if terrorism is a tree then the roots are radicalism. As for the radicalism developed by ABB, according to Hendropriyono, it has been supported by HRS.

He also quoted Mustofa Bisri's statement. "Stop deifying yourself by judging others as being ma'ruf or munkar. Stop hating, hurting, or punishing others," he wrote.

"You and none of us have ever received a mandate from Allah, not even from the state law or from the mandate of the Indonesian people. You are only trapped by politicians, who abuse your faith," he added.

The public is advised not to listen to lectures or preaching that incite or spread fake news. Because, preachers like this they only shout burning hearts as if they are defending their leader and religion, but in fact they have personal intentions.

"Do not you listen to any more blazing speeches, lectures or preaching that incite and spread confusing false news. If now politicians are screaming to burn your heart, as if defending you, pretending to defend your leader and like defending our religion, in truth they only want to ride on you, for their political needs or for their personal passions. To the mothers, please enlighten the future of our children, enlighten their minds to be able to think smartly and wisely for the safety and success of our children in living life, "he said.

It is known that there are a number of politicians who say they are ready to guarantee the suspension of Rizieq's detention who was detained due to a case of violation of health protocols. One of them is Gerindra Party politician Fadli Zon.

Through the video he uploaded on YouTube, he hopes that this guarantee can suspend the detention of the FPI leader.

"Hopefully this guarantee can postpone the detention of Habib Rizieq," said Fadli Zon in his account.

In addition, he regretted the process that happened to Rizieq Shihab from the hasty process of determining suspects, detention, and especially the murder of six FPI soldiers on Monday, December 7 at the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.

This DPR member said that on December 13, when Rizieq was questioned as a suspect for a dozen hours about the questionable and still very vague allegations of health protocols, Rizieq was finally detained by the police.

"Thousands of cases of violation of health protocols. Only one was processed in an extraordinary way, even through murder," he said.

Because of that he was willing to guarantee himself to postpone the detention of Habib Rizieq.

"Hopefully more and more people will do the same. Because I believe, many Muslims believe that Rizieq is innocent. If there is a violation against the crowd at that time, then a fine has been paid," he said.
