Nadiem Makarim Asks Teachers Not To Stop Innovation

JAKARTA - Mendikbudristek Nadiem Anwar Makarim invites teachers to continue to innovate. Nadiem invites educators in Indonesia to be enthusiastic about creating and innovating. Currently, the Merdeka Curriculum provides much greater flexibility where teachers can develop creative projects that make learning more enjoyable. Then, with the teacher driving education program, educators are prepared to become a generation of learning leaders in the future. "There are 50,000 professors scattered throughout Indonesia who are now ready to become school principals and supervisors with a high leadership and dedication spirit. I ask the head of service to support its mechanism in the field," said Nadiem.

The Ministry of Education and Culture provides a Merdeka Teaching Platform where more than 1.6 million teachers throughout Indonesia are connected to learn and share.

"All of this is of course thanks to the mutual cooperation of all of us. Thanks to the courage of the mother and teacher in their work, and innovate now that Merdeka Learning can be a movement," said Nadiem.

Efforts to present a learning transformation need to get support for improving the welfare of teachers who are the spearhead of change. Through the Government Employee Civil Apparatus program with a Work Agreement (ASN PPPK), hundreds of thousands of teachers who have for years devoted themselves to being honorary teachers are now getting better placements and welfare. The Merdeka Learning Movement, which has been running for the last three years, must be even greater and the benefits must be felt by all students, all teachers, all schools throughout Indonesia.
