PGRI Chairman Unifah Rosyidi: The Future Certainty Of The Most Longed-awaited Teacher

JAKARTA - On the commemoration of this year's 2022 National Teacher's Day, the General Chairperson of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Teachers' Association (PGRI) Prof. Dr. Unifah Rosyidi, M.Pd., again questioned the status and future of teachers who still have no clarity.

"The most important thing I voice on National Teacher's Day 2022 on November 25 this year is the fate of the teachers. This is actually the right momentum, on the day of the teacher and the commemoration of PGRI's anniversary. The improvement in their fate and clarity is what teachers throughout Indonesia miss the most," he said.

So far, continued the Union as he is usually called - teachers have been required to teach well, work professionally as an educator. The goal is none other than to improve the quality of our education in general. However, what is accepted by the teachers is still not in line with expectations.

"The teachers are waiting for certainty of the future, certainty of the teaching profession. Whether those whose status is still honorary, there is certainty from the government whether they will be appointed as ASN or not. So far, no one can give an answer," said the Union, who is also a professor at the Jakarta State University. to VOI.

Has this fundamental problem been voiced to the government and related agencies. "We have said it many times, but the action to improve the fate of the teacher is still not there. We have been waiting for this realization," he said.

Currently, said the Union, the government's good intentions to improve the fate of the teacher are just being realized. "The government does not need to have a lot of this theory and that, the data already exists, it's just a matter of taking action. If there are obstacles or obstacles to telling us, or we can convey it again to the teachers who demand an improvement in fate. Don't all hang up," he said.

While hoping, Unifah Rosyidi continues to encourage fellow teachers to continue to carry out their duties well. "We must continue to carry out our duties as educators as best we can. This profession has been chosen by the teachers, let's carry out our duties well in order to realize the ideals of making the nation's children difficult.
