DPR Meeting Bahas Pembelian Pesawat Airbus Di Garuda Indonesia Ditelitisik KPK

JAKARTA - The KPK has examined a former member of the DPR from the Democratic Party faction, Azam Azman. Investigators are investigating a meeting that was held at the DPR to discuss the purchase of an Airbus aircraft for Garuda Indonesia airline.

"The witness was present and his knowledge was investigated, among others, related to a discussion meeting held at Commission VI of the DPR RI to discuss the proposed purchase of an airplane," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, November 25.

Ali said investigators were also investigating the same thing against members of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission VI of the Golkar Party faction, Gde Sumarjaya. He was questioned on Wednesday, November 23 yesterday.

Actually, investigators will also examine two other witnesses. It's just that they were not present and will be rescheduled for re-examination.

Those who were not present were the Chairman of the DPD Democrat Lampung who is also a former member of the Indonesian Parliament Atte Sugandi and former member of the DPR RI of the Democratic Party Abdurrahman Abdullah.

"The two witnesses were not present and scheduled as well as a recall was immediately submitted to the investigative team," said Ali.

Previously reported, the KPK named a former member of the DPR and a company as a suspect in the bribery case of PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk. This determination is the development of the 2010-2015 Airbus aircraft procurement case.

It was not specified who the former member of the DPR or the company that became the suspect was. New names will be submitted by the anti-corruption commission in full along with attempts to force detention.

Even so, the name Chandra Tirta Wijaya, who previously sat as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the National Mandate Party (PAN) faction, has been prevented from leaving the country. This prevention was carried out by the Directorate General of Immigration at the request of the KPK for six months.
