YOGYAKARTA - The Class IIB Wates Detention Center conducted a simultaneous room search operation on Tuesday, November 22. Officers secured a 30-centimeter long prayer beads (cm) and a one-page photo in the activity.

In addition, the raid on the inmates' residential rooms also found prohibited objects or items in the form of two pillows, one 30 centimeter rope, one spray bottle, one 20 cm cloth rope, two nails and one pentul needle.

"It was openly conveyed that the Wates Class IIB Detention Center was clean of drugs, cell phones, and other devices," said Head of the Class IIB detention center Wates Erik Murdiyanto in Wates, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta Special Region, Tuesday, November 22, as reported by Antara.

Erik explained that this joint raid was carried out following up on a letter from the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights DIY Number W.14.PK.08.05-9903 dated November 19, 2022 regarding Notifications for Simultaneous Razia Activities at Prisons/Rutan/LPKA.

"We carry out this activity as a follow-up to the direction of the Head of Regional Office and Kadivpas to maintain security and order at the Wates Detention Center," he said.

He said the surveillance of the incident room was carried out routinely for early detection of various violations or irregularities in prison environments such as prohibited objects or items in the Wates Detention Center.

The activity began with an apple for all personnel given directions regarding the mechanism and distribution of joint raid tasks by the head of the detention center and the head of the mortgage. After several teams were formed, each team entered to examine and search each WBP and their respective rooms.
