Indonesian Navy Use 8 Local Manufacturers Combat Vessels, 1 Alutsista Again Tested In Pluit Waters

The Indonesian Navy carried out an defense equipment test by the nation's children. The test of the D-18 fighter ship made by PT Tesco Indomariti was carried out at Mutiara Beach, Pluit, North Jakarta, today Friday 18 November.

Head of the Indonesian Navy Information Service, First Admiral Julius Widjojono, who attended the trial, said that the use of domestic production defense equipment was in accordance with President Joko Widodo's policy which was followed up by the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, Admiral Yudo Margono.

Julius said the policy was also an effort to support the government in restoring the national economy.

Including, he said, realizing the independence of the fulfillment of military defense defense and non-military defense equipment towards regional maritime forces that are respected in the region.

The ship weighing 22 tons with a fuel capacity of 3,600 liters is also capable of carrying out SAR.
