JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono talked about the development of the city of Jakarta after the transfer of the capital city to the archipelago, East Kalimantan. According to Heru, Jakarta must still be able to develop and no longer hold the status of the capital city. He conveyed this in a meeting with international organizational partners in the City Forest area by Plataran, Central Jakarta. "We, after 2024, if the President has started serving there, Jakarta must also be able to fight without being able to become the capital city," said Heru, Friday, November 18. According to Heru, the movement of the capital city in 2024 will be a big challenge for Jakarta in the sector to reap regional income. Plus, Jakarta will be oriented as a business center. Therefore, Heru asked these foreign organizations to help provide input on the orientation of government policies to organize Jakarta as a city with business growth. "Jakarta must live, Jakarta must live with income and others. On the other hand, Indonesia must build concentration in IKN. Well, that requires input from gentlemen," said Heru. In addition to the issue of IKN, Heru also discussed the challenges of climate change, the target of reducing exhaust emissions by 50 percent by 2030, to the implementation of electric-based mass transportation. The several international organizations that attended included representatives from UNESCO, Representative to Indonesia for WHO, Indonesia Resident Representative for UNDP, World Bank Country Director for Indonesia, Country Manager for IFC, Southeast Asia Director for ITDP, to Country Director for World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia.
