Depok Residents Need To Know, Improvements To The Depok GDC Road Which Are Badly Damaged Are Worth Rp. 15 Billion

JAKARTA - The Depok City Public Works and Spatial Planning (DPUPR) carried out a follow-up reconstruction of Jalan Boulevard Grand Depok City (GDC), along 1.8 km.

"The contract value is Rp. 15 billion. For equitable distribution, we do it with a thickness of approximately 10 cm because the existing roads are uneven. Meanwhile, the height of concrete will be 20 cm," said Head of Depok City DPUPR Citra Indah Yulianty in Depok, Friday 18 November.

He explained that the work was carried out from Simpang Kartini to Simpang KSU.

"The length of the road includes the GDC bridge which is currently being rehabilitated," he said.

He said, for the width of the fast lane, which is an average of seven meters. The work process has started from September 29 to December 12, 2022.

Citra said that his party also made a crossing between the GDC and KSU intersections. To speed up the work process, his party applies a contraflow.

"We apologize for the inconvenience. Work is being done to improve the quality of the road for the sake of mutual comfort," he said.

Lebih lanjut Citra mengatakan untuk mengatasi mobilitas pengguna jalan maka dilakukan sistem kontraflow yang dilaksanakan sejak awal Oktober, kami sudah melakukan contraflow panjang kurang lebih 1,1 km. Mulai dari Simpang GDC dan KSU sampai dengan Ruko Verbena GDC.

He said that his party had coordinated with the Depok City Transportation Service (Dishub) to facilitate the system. In addition, road markings or notification banners were also installed at several points.

"We have coordinated with the Transportation Agency to facilitate this contraflow system. Thank God, good response and Dishub officers were stationed at that point during peak hours," he explained.
