Bawaslu Karawang Finds Cases Of Money Politics And Civil Servants That Are Not Neutral In The 2020 Pilkada

JAKARTA - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Karawang Regency, West Java, found allegations of Pilkada violations in the form of money politics and the neutrality of civil servants in the Karawang Regional Head General Election.

"We found an alleged violation of money politics in Tegalwaru District," said the local Bawaslu Abuse Handling Coordinator Roni Rubiat Machri, in Karawang, as reported by Antara, Saturday, December 12.

In addition, his party is also tracing public reports regarding the money politics video from one of the candidate pairs for regent and deputy regent given to voters.

"We must first trace the report on the circulation of the video, to determine whether the formal and material requirements are fulfilled or not to be followed up," he said.

The alleged violation of money politics in Tegalwaru District has been investigated. The results cannot be followed up at the investigation stage. The reason was that there was no physical evidence of money or an envelope containing money at the time of clarification.

In addition, his party also found allegations of violations of the neutrality of civil servants during the Karawang elections.

"So now we are tracing information on civil servants who are not neutral in the Pilkada," he said.

Supervision Coordinator of Bawaslu Karawang, Suryana Hadiwijaya, said that during a vote on Wednesday, December 9, his party found an alleged violation of the health protocol.

"There are hundreds of TPS officers who did not undergo rapid tests before carrying out their duties," he said.

According to him, all the alleged violations will definitely be processed. However, whether the violation is entered or not must be in accordance with the rules and meet the material and formal requirements. (KR-MAK)
