JAKARTA - The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, together with the security service of Kapanewon (District) Mlati removed a number of banners and rontek which were considered provocative ahead of the 2024 General Election. "This control is a precautionary measure ahead of the 2024 General Election regarding the installation of banners containing provocative content," said Head of the Operational Section of the Sleman Satpol PP, Darminto in Sleman, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, November 16. According to him, the removal of banners at the intersection of Jalan Kutuk Asem, Kapanewon Mlati was carried out by the Kapanewon Mlati Security Service. "The Sleman Satpol PP only helped with the removal," he said. In addition to containing provocative content, the installation of banners and rods is not in accordance with applicable regulations. "From this activity, a banner containing provocative content was taken down and six pieces containing provocative content," he said.
