Update On COVID-19 As Of December 11: New Cases Of 6,310, Heal, Increasing 4,911

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 54,072 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 6,310 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 605,243 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Friday, December 11.

The number of cases recovered today has increased by 4,911, so that a total of 496,888 people have recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 175 people and a total of 18,511 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,232 new cases and a total of 150,250 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.

Followed by West Java, which has 1,029 new cases with a total of 64,072 cases. Central Java has 998 new cases and a total of 64,608 cases. Then, East Java has 748 new cases and a total of 68,361 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,206 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 912 recovered cases, East Java with an increase of 501 recovered cases, and Central Java with an increase of 296 recovered cases.

Then, none of the provinces reported having no new cases today. Provinces that have new cases under 10 are East Nusa Tenggara, Gorontalo, North Maluku, and West Sulawesi.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 6,271,943. In detail, a total of 6,162,501 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 109,442 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).

"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14.4 percent," he wrote.

Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 64,845 people. Currently, 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
