Gatot explained that the fire started with sparks from a burning power pole cable. The fire then spread to the house of a resident named Yeti. The fire grew bigger and spread to other residents' houses.

"The fire spread to Nurhayati and Paimin's house. The houses of the two residents were only burned at the top," he said.

Luckily there were no casualties as a result of the fire incident. Officers managed to extinguish the fire at around 09.20 WIB.

"The fire was extinguished by 12 fire engines with 60 personnel. A total of 14 people were rescued from the flames," he said.
